Angiomedix is tackling a long‑overlooked cause of ischemia and heart attacks: impaired coronary blood flow without large‑artery blockages—conditions now grouped as INOCA/ANOCA and driven primarily by coronary microvascular dysfunction and coronary vasospasm. Routine tools (ECG, echo, treadmill stress tests, even angiography) often miss these disorders, which helps explain why many symptomatic patients are told their hearts are “normal” despite ongoing ischemia and risk.
Advanced tests like PET or cardiac MRI can detect microvascular disease but not vasospasm and are concentrated at a limited number of centers. The result is delayed or incorrect diagnoses, undertreatment, and excess morbidity and cost.
Angiomedix builds on a decade of clinical research showing that invasive coronary function testing—wire‑based coronary physiology assessment paired with pharmacologic provocation using acetylcholine—accurately distinguishes microvascular disease from vasospasm and steers targeted therapy.
